It’s my BIRTHDAY! If you are new here let me introduce myself…my name is Josie. I am the owner, CEO, creator, balloon artist, balloon twister, face painter, party entertainer and mastermind behind Beyond Twisting Parties. I am 50ish…lol… and in 2021 I took the jump to start my own business doing something I love (You can do it too!) I never feel like I am working and the best thing is I can call out whenever I want…. Some things to know… I went to art school. I painted, made collages and even had my art exhibited in galleries. Fun Fact: Every job I worked at since I was a teen involved young children (I’m just great with kids and a kid at heart) I got my Masters in Museum Education and worked in the Children’s Museum industry for over 25 years. (It was hard leaving it behind…so many memories..sniff) I grew up in Northern NJ and I currently live in the quaint town of Suffern,NY in the Hudson Valley. No kids, but I have 2 adorable black cats, Midnight & Eclipse, an amazing husband (I met on Match.com and married in 2008) who puts up with my balloon craziness all over the house, an amazing family, and a niece and nephew who I love as if they were my own. (I am their fave auntie, of course) My favorite color is Pink(duh) and my fave show since I was 10 is @generalhospital (I don’t ever miss an episode) I love sunflowers, true crime shows, comedy, sleeping in, cooking, chinese food, chocolate covered strawberries (gifts welcome), warm weather and doing diy projects around my home. Fact: I got a kidney transplant in 2009 from my sister after being diagnosed with a life threatening kidney disease.(Polycystic Kidney Disease, it’s genetic and there is no cure) The thing I love most about my job is the smiles and reactions I get. The people I meet and the most rewarding feeling that you made someones day or event special❤️ My dream (living it partly already) is to have a small storefront/space/balloon boutique one day. I celebrate this birthday today with a wish for you to follow your dreams and your heart ❤️
