m Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and your family is safe and healthy! I have been pretty busy these last two weeks working on Episode 2 of Art with Ms. Josie! This episode will be about the American artist, Alexander "Sandy" Calder. Alexander Calder is most famous for his mobiles that are found in many museums around the country, but I will go back to his early days when Calder made his first debut in the art world by making circus miniatures. His Calder Circus, which can be found at the Whitney Museum of Art in New York, features circus characters created from found materials. Calder went on to put on circus shows with his miniatures from Paris to New York. Join me as I demonstrate different techniques that can be used to make your very own circus miniatures! This fun activity had everything to keep our little ones busy and a great way to use their imagination! Have fun! I would love to see pictures of your circus and any videos of your circus shows!
